No fancy technology or shiny tricks. A garden full of plants. And a few goats at the end. A unique garden that is both practical and poetic. A garden that requires little attention and minimal intervention. A garden that is beautiful in sun and in rain. A garden that gives you shade from the heat and shelter when the southerly storms come. A garden for people of all ages to learn and see how plants can heal the soil. A quiet space away from the city, to celebrate the memories of this place and to respect and contemplate its history.

The use of a simple pattern, running east to west for the finest orientation, provides us with our beginning. Mass plantings take their positions in thick or thin bands across the site, depending upon which contaminants are found beneath the ground. Certain plants take certain places because they are especially equipped to phytoremediate the soil there.
