The gardens implementation coming into spring means the average temperatures will be increasing as the season develops. From the sun path analysis above we know that the WBPS building will help shade part of the site by 12.30pm in the summer. The garden is however surrounded by the thermal mass of concrete on the ground. This will create a heat island affect that when combined with hot winds will likely increase the temperatures to a point where additional irrigation is required to negate the effects. Monitoring of temperature and moisture is vital to ensure the growth of the garden.
